Mannog Rock DJ - back from school

Rocky recently spent two weeks "at school" to be backed by Julie Beck based at her yard in  Thornby Grange,  Wirral.  Julie is a highly experienced competitor  (HOYS and RIHS) and instructor and did an absolutely great job with Rocky.  She found him easy to do and was riding him down their lanes within days - and she had a saddle just big enough to fit him.  Such is his lovely temperament I probably could have done him here but with every field varying between a blue run or a black run  it was not practicable!

As Rocky is destined for the English disciplines - small hunter, Intermediate WH and just all round great guy - Julie was the right choice.  Back home I then got on him after a couple of weeks with no problems - except of course he is SO BIG (156 cm at moment) and I did not have the right saddle (he needs a wide 17 inch cut back).  But he was great and just took it in his stride and happily walked down our lane.  He is a lovely gentleman to have around, the kindest of natures and easy to do .  See for sale page.

Update: have been saddling Rocky up now and then - just get on him, down the lane, a little bit of road work (appears unfazed) and back home. What a guy!

Delighted to be kept up to date on the progress of Roobee.  Having weaned her lovely colt foal last year (unknown sire but believed to be a warmblood) he is now 17 months old and standing at 15.2hh - he is going to be a big boy.

Roobee is now slowly starting life under saddle again - having been a broodmare for some years. Her lovely caring owner is taking things slowly and gently - no pressure.

Many thanks for the update and picture.

See earlier news articles on Roobee.
