In May a Dengie representative (organised by BHS NE Wales) was visiting various yards with a proper electronic weigh bridge .  This helps to ensure you are accurate -  not wasteful -  with your worming regime and to ensure you are not overweight in your horse box or trailer. The local BHS had also recently had a vehicle weigh in as well with a local weigh bridge being used to determine just how much weight you can actually carry !  Scarey !

Anyway I had the five boys weighed - quite a challenge to get them to actually STAND STILL on the weigh bridge - especially when the farmer decided to move all his cattle past the end of our driveway -  but we managed with a little bribery:

Mannog Moonshadow :  502 kg  Condition score : 3

Mannog Moonriver : 546 kg        Condition score : 3.5

Mannog Rock DJ :    637 kg        Condition score : 3.5 - 3.75

Mannog Zips Rio Grande : 500 kg   Condition score : 3 - 3.5

Mannog Zips Candy Man :  486 kg   Condition score : 3

NB: (Condition scoring : 1=very poor  5 =very fat --- 3 being the best.)

A really useful afternoon and would recommend everyone to have their horse weighed accurately just once if they can.
