Due to Covid 19 and lockdown the majority of horse shows have had to be cancelled.  So photo competitions are the in thing and so much easier than showing live - no bathing, travelling, running around and it is cheaper.

Having judged a number of these photo shows myself it is not an easy job and the entries are huge and some of the photos are just amazing. Choosing winners is not easy.  Plus the diversity of classes is bewildering and gives everyone a chance.

SO............. I decided to join in the fun - what else can you do in lockdown ?  Some pics seen below.

Due to Covid 19 many horse shows have stopped so the Appaloosa Horse Club (UK) held a series of photo/video classes superbly organised by Paula Cooper.  This show series had three  Championship series : Spring, Autumn, Winter with various classes of photos and videos.  All information can be found on APHC UK  facebook page.

Mannog Zips Imagine  Born 2009 (Mannog Moonriver x Im Steel A Zip) , owned by Auriol in Hampshire submitted some lovely photos for the judges.

He was awarded APHC UK Most Colourful "other" Champion  and also APHC UK Wild (entries for APHC UK/USA and non Appaloosas) Male Appaloosa Reserve Champion of Champion .  "Ozzie" has always done well in the show ring having been Supreme Champion at an APHC UK Southern Show and in 2011 was  awarded an APHC USA International Top Ten Award for FPD (Foundation Designate Pedigree.)   From foal to adult - how his colour has changed. Many congratulations to Auriol.
