CAPITALL LOLA (PSSM n/n)  , a four year old characteristic mare, won the APHC UK Hartpury SUPREME CHAMPION  IN HAND on 3rd July 2011.  Owned by the Capitall Stud (John & Joan Stillitoe) and shown by Joanne Thomas.

Sired by Mannog Moonriver (PSSM n/n) out of Maybe this mare caught the judge's eye with her great movement and conformation.  Having won the Female Championship Lola then went forward to the Supreme In Hand Award - and won.  Reserve was a stallion Ammanvalley Wa Ha Star. (Chris Richardson)

This means that MANNOG APPALOOSA STALLIONS have sired  APHC UK Hartpury Supreme Champions two years running - in 2010 it was multi champion stallion Mannog Moonshadow ( PSSM n/P)  who was the sire of Mannog Zips Rio Grande (PSSM n/n)  :Youngstock, Male and Supreme Champion at Hartury -  and this year it is multi champion stallion Mannog Moonriver.

Thank you KIM SANDS for this lovely photograph.  Sorry - but have taken out John Sillitoe !!

Also being shown by the Capitall Stud was Capitall Ainsley - a three year old gelding again sired by Mannog Moonriver x  Honeybun.  He is going through a growing spurt and did not do so well but was impeccably behaved.  This is a  definite performance horse of the future . Again thanks to Kim Sands for the pic and this time Joanne Thomas has been taken out!

Both the above horses and other quality youngstock are FOR SALE by the extremely successful show stud : the Capitall Stud. Contact Joan Sillitoe on 016974 73309

Having recovered well from being gelded it was time for Rio to start school so as I have no facilities of my own and all fields slope  it was off to Tim & Janette Keeley's facility at Ruthin ( Constant Appaloosas) for two weeks. They have all the facilities including a covered arena and very large outdoor arena with good surfaces, excellent day care and experience to start youngsters.

Tim does a lot of work on the ground prior to backing and has a very natural approach and as you can see soon gets Rio to stand on a tractor tyre.  All the work is done with a rope halter and saddle pad but it has now progressed to a full western saddle.  Tim's  emphasis is on getting the horse to go forward at all times.

Mannog Appaloosas is happy to recommend Tim.You should visit their web site Constant Appaloosas and see some of their great YouTube videos to see exactly what Tim and Janette can achieve.

On Rio's return it is up to me to continue the work.  Thanks for keeping me informed Tim - great pictures and updates on You Tube. (Spottty1).
