Moonlight Serenade May 1995 - June 2012

Sire: August Harrier.       Dam: Brodie (Dales)

Due to a freak accident in a very wet and slippy field  causing a displaced bowel Sade was euthanised on 24th June.  Dreadfully missed by her lifelong companions .

Dam of great part breds:

Mannog Pretty Woman :affiliated Dressage
Mannog Just in Time : much loved happy hacker and occasional show horse

Mannog Rock DJ : Part bred champion. winner of lots of classes.

Sade doing what she loved doing best - sleeping in the sun (shown with her last foal Mannog Rock DJ).  RIP.

An extra sad end to this story is that we have just been informed that her daughter Mannog Pretty Woman had to be euthanised earlier this year due to her being found in the field with a broken leg.  Sympathies to Becky.

Three horses from the Mannog Stud (Mannog Zips Rio Grande, Mannog Rock DJ and Mannog Zips Candy Man) attended a great fun day at Janette & Tim Keeleys stud (Constant Appaloosas, Ruthin) in aid of SPORT RELIEF.  So we could participate with all three horses we "loaned" Rio out to Jane and Rocky out to Jo - who each contributed  Â£40.00 per horse.  The whole event raised £615.00 with the Mannog Stud horses contributing £120.00.   The morning was a great obstacle/agility course and then the 15 laps of the arena to do the MILE.  Weather lovely hot and sunny which made it all the better, wonderful picnic lunch with everyone contributing. In the afternoon those that could then rode their horses - we went home!

This was the first time all three boys had been out together and Rio and Rocky's  first outing since the APHC UK 2011 Northern Show and two of them handled by people they had never met before. As usual it was out of the field first thing, breakfast, load and off to Ruthin.  No problem!

17 horses all together in one arena - and all were great . Pictures below of some of the great obstacles Tim had set up - Rio and Fred had no problems , Rocky needed a bit of persuading but then got the hang of it. None of them had seen anything like it before. They did us proud.

Well done and thank you to Janette and Tim for organising this day and letting everyone use their wonderful facilities and have FUN whilst raising money for Sport Relief.
