It is with the greatest sadness that we have been advised that our friend Paul Makin lost his short battle against cancer on the 10th January 2015. We first met Paul and his partner Maureen when they purchased their first Mannog horse and then went on to own another two. The latest was Mannog Just In Time (aka Robert) with whom they both had great success at the APHC UK Northern Shows and APHC UK Nationals . Paul doing all the running in hand and Maureen riding. We could not have asked for more caring, loving, knowledgeable owners as Paul and Maureen for our horses. We were regularly kept in touch with news on how "Robert" was doing from Paul first backing him, to "Robert" gaining white spots , to beach rides, happy hacking and showing - all of which we were happy to put on our news page. Paul was always keen to talk about his love of horses, his strong belief in natural horsemanship methods, his (and Maureen's) ups - and downs - and we would meet up with them at APHC UK shows with "Robert's" full brother Mannog Rock DJ. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Maureen and Paul's family. He will be missed and always in our thoughts. We have some great memories and pictures. Thank you Paul.
Robert (Mannog Just In Time) leading the funeral procession at Paul's funeral on 26th January. What a lovely fitting tribute to Paul and his lovely horse "Robert". We hope Paul was smiling from above. RIP Paul.
